What to expect in 2015

Ok then, I’ve had the site set up for a few months now but I’ve not actually done anything with it, despite the fact that I’ve been doing quite a bit of painting. So I’m going to set myself something of a belated New Year challenge to try and do some weekly updates. Nothing to challenging to start with, just a few pictures of what is on my desk, what I’m working on any anything else that takes my fancy. I’m going to call it my ‘Weekly Waffle’ and try and stick to weekly updates, probably at some point over the weekend.

As well as these weekly updates I’m also going to try and produce some painting guides. Now just to set the scene for this I am not by any standards a great painter. I would like to think that I paint to a good table top standard but that’s it. The idea behind doing these guides is just to share how I do things and with a bit of luck this may be useful to others. I recently started to keep a note book with step by step guides as to how I painted a particular model. Mainly so that if needed to paint another at some point in the future I could remember how I actually did the first and would stand a chance of getting the next model or unit to look the same. So my idea is to take a few pictures along the way and the put them up here.
I’m also going to try and do the same sort of thing when working on conversions. But I’m not sure how best to do that at the moment so I will just give it a go and see what happens.

So that’s what you can expect from the year ahead. I don’t know how it will pan out but I’m really enjoying my painting and gaming at the moment so want to try and share some of that with you. I’m also hoping that making a commitment to update the site on a regular basis will also act a bit of extra motivation for me. Looking forward these are the things that I you should expect to see over the coming weeks.

• Infinity – I’m currently working on some Haqqislam models so I’ll show what I’ve done to date and what I’m thinking of adding in the future.

• Batman – These are really nice models although I haven’t played the game yet. So I’ll share the models I’ve painted so far and I’ll try and go do a painting guide for my next crew which has just arrived. Victor Zsasz and some Arkham Lunatics.

• Then looking a little further ahead there will be Guild Ball. I got in the Kickstarter and I’m now waiting with baited breath for them to arrive, which with a bit of luck will be at the end of January.

I’ll leave it there for now but pop back soon for the first of the ‘Weekly Waffles’ and then with a bit of look some regular updates.

Steve.
