Weekly Waffle #237

It’s only going to be a short weekly waffle today as I’ve been mad busy at work this week. As I mentioned last week are advertising lots of jobs at work which has meant that for most of the week I’ve either been helping my team write up their applications or shortlisting other applications. Not a hard job but very time consuming and I have to say at times absolutely soul destroying. It’s become a joy now when I get a good one. Now all of this has really impacted on my hobby time and it’s also meant that I’ve not actually finished my application and the window closes tomorrow so once I’ve finished this update I’m going to pull my finger out and get that completed.

There was no game night for me this week and I also missed the D&D session last week because it was my dads birthday. Now I had a really nice day but int the game Al’s character apparently came to a stick, or possibly messy end and then because I wasn’t there he cursed me. I have no idea what I’ve done to upset him or even what the curse is, but I guess I will find out on our next session.

On the hobby front there hasn’t been much of a change. Just lots of painting red and gold and not feeling like I’m making any progress at all. I am and I know I am but it’s just hard to see the progress at the moment. I think it’s going to be one of those things where I feel like I’m never going to get to the end and then all of sudden there won’t be any more gold left to go. Because of that I’ve decided no to give you any picture of the individual parts but instead what I’ve done is put all the parts on to the body and take some pictures to show things in situ which I think makes the progress seem a little bit better.

That’s it for this week and I’m now going to spend a few hours getting my job application completed and submitted. Then tomorrow it’s looking like an afternoon live music and beer at a local blues festival. So whatever you are up to this week I hope you have a great time and I’ll catch you all again next week.
